Exhibit dates April 15 to May 29
Reception April 16 7-9

Title: Adam and Eve
Statement for entry
For the theme of Stereotypes, I juxtaposed portraits of a male and female manikin, heads that have been stripped down to the bare essentials, no clothes, no hair, to illustrate the minimum requirements indicating maleness and femaleness. Both have bald heads, eye make-up and sensitive, almost human lips, yet we know instinctively which of these artificial people is which. The images make us think about the question of what exactly comprises our stereotypical definition of being male and female. How do we know the difference?
